This pulled me in. The atmosphere really got me. I loved how the horror felt tied to grief instead of just fear. Great read.

Thank you so much, Dawn. I’m really glad that came through. I wanted the fear and the grief to feel inseparable, so this means a lot.

Very enjoyable creepy read. I realized I kept holding my breath when the woman appeared. Great story and I liked the background.

Thank you so much, Jenni. I’m really glad that moment made you hold your breath and that the background worked for you too.

Thank you so much. That means a lot, especially coming from another writer. I’m glad the story connected and I’d be very happy to take a look at your magazine and submission guidelines.

Martin, you are such a good storyteller. There was a real elegance in how you wrote this - it's terrifying (I kept holding my breath while they were in the hut), but it's also beautiful in the descriptions and the tone. Excellent work.

Thank you so much, Alicia. That means a lot and I really appreciate how thoughtfully you always read. I’m glad the hut scenes held you that way and that the beauty and the fear came through together.

Wow. I was completely unaware of what I was getting into when I started reading this. Excellent work. Truly.

Thank you so much, Laurie. That means a great deal, especially because I wanted the story to feel quiet at first and then let the cold find its way in.
